Walking Two Feet Out

Walking Two Feet Out

Purpose: Beginner level agility ladder pattern. Coordination, balance, multi-planar general hip, foot and ankle strength.

Quick Coaching Cues

  • Take two steps in, and two steps out. When stepping out, you’re also moving up to the side of the next square.
  • It doesn’t matter what side of the ladder you start on.
  • Try to contact the ground from your mid-foot.
  • Keep knees slightly bent.

Common Mistakes

  • Crossing the feet. Don’t cross-over, step to the side.
  • Contacting the ground flat-footed.
  • Legs too straight, keep a slight bend in the knees.
  • Taking too many steps. This pattern is only a 4-count. No extra steps.
