Agility Ladder 2 Feet In

Agility Ladder: 2 Feet In

Purpose: Athletic coordination, fast twitch recruitment, multi-planar general hip, foot and ankle strength.

Quick Coaching Cues

  • One leg leads. For example, when moving forwards the right foot is the first to step in the square. On the way back, the left foot leads.  OR move down the ladder with the right foot leading, then jog/walk back and lead with the left foot.
  • Try to contact the ground from your mid-foot.
  • Keep knees slightly bent.
  • Move as quick as you can maintain control.

Common Mistakes

  • Not leading with the same foot all the way. Consistently maintain the same lead foot all the way through.
  • Contacting the ground flat-footed.
  • Legs too straight, keep a slight bend in the knees.
  • Taking too many steps. This pattern is only a 2-count. No extra steps.
