Agility Ladder 2 Feet Out
Agility Ladder: 2 Feet Out
Purpose: Athletic coordination, fast twitch recruitment, multi-planar general hip, foot and ankle strength.
Quick Coaching Cues
- It doesn’t matter what side of the ladder you start on.
- When standing on the left side, the right foot leads. When standing on the right, the left foot leads.
- Try to contact the ground from your mid-foot.
- Keep knees slightly bent.
- Move as quick as you can maintain control.
Common Mistakes
- Crossing the feet. Side step into the square and out. When stepping out you’re also stepping up toward the next square.
- Contacting the ground flat-footed.
- Legs too straight, keep a slight bend in the knees.
- Taking too many steps. This pattern is only a 4-count. No extra steps.
