Agility Ladder 2 Feet Out

Agility Ladder: 2 Feet Out

Purpose: Athletic coordination, fast twitch recruitment, multi-planar general hip, foot and ankle strength.

Quick Coaching Cues

  • It doesn’t matter what side of the ladder you start on.
  • When standing on the left side, the right foot leads. When standing on the right, the left foot leads.
  • Try to contact the ground from your mid-foot.
  • Keep knees slightly bent.
  • Move as quick as you can maintain control.

Common Mistakes

  • Crossing the feet. Side step into the square and out. When stepping out you’re also stepping up toward the next square.
  • Contacting the ground flat-footed.
  • Legs too straight, keep a slight bend in the knees.
  • Taking too many steps. This pattern is only a 4-count. No extra steps.
