Quick Coaching Cues

  • Out-Out In-In is one rep.
  • Sit tall with your core braced.
  • Start with feet together. Take one small step to the side with each foot, then take return to the starting position.
  • Try to contact the ground at the mid-foot/balls of the feet.
  • Keep your chest up and move from the hip, not by twisting your torso.
  • Move with as much speed as you can maintain control and good form.

Common Mistakes

  • Slouching or leaning side to side during the movement.
  • Contacting flat-footed.
  • Stepping out too far.
