Chair Seated Side Taps
Purpose: Hip strength. Abduction.
Quick Coaching Cues
- Sit tall near the front of the chair with your core braced.
- Open one leg out to the side with control, then tap and return without leaning back.
- Keep your chest up and move from the hip, not by twisting your torso.
Common Mistakes
- Slouching or leaning side to side during the movement.
- Swinging the leg out with momentum instead of controlling it.
- Turning the toes and hips too much instead of isolating the hip abduction.
