Chair Supported Bent Over Single Arm “T” Raise
Purpose: Upper body strength. Shoulders and upper back.
Quick Coaching Cues
- Support yourself on the chair, hinge at the hips, and keep your back flat.
- Raise your arm out to the side to make a “T” shape with control.
- Keep your shoulder down and squeeze through the upper back at the top.
Common Mistakes
- Rounding the back or standing too upright instead of staying hinged over.
- Shrugging the shoulder up instead of lifting from the upper back.
- Swinging the arm with momentum instead of controlling the raise.
