Purpose: General core strength.
Quick Coaching Cues
- Keep your legs straight up and reach toward your toes by lifting through your upper abs.
- Exhale as you crunch up and keep the movement controlled.
- Lower your shoulders back down slowly without losing tension.
Common Mistakes
- Swinging the arms and using momentum instead of crunching through the abs.
- Pulling the head and neck forward instead of lifting the shoulders.
- Dropping all the way down between reps and losing tension.
