Purpose: Core strength and stability
Quick Coaching Cues
- Stand tall with your core braced and hands centered at your lower chest.
- Press the band straight out without letting your torso rotate and HOLD for 3-5 seconds.
- Control the hold and bring your hands back in slowly. Rest 1-2 seconds and repeat. Make sure to do both sides.
Common Mistakes
- Letting the band pull the torso into rotation.
- Not enough resistance. It should be challenging when your hands are extended away from the body. Move away from the band connection point to increase resistance, or switch to a heavier band.
- Rushing. Press your hands out and hold for 3-5 seconds.
