Purpose: Core strength and stability

Quick Coaching Cues

  • Keep your shoulders slightly off the floor and brace your abs.
  • Reach side to side by bending through your torso, not by swinging your arms.
  • Keep the movement short and controlled as you tap toward each heel.

Common Mistakes

  • Dropping the shoulders all the way down between reps.
  • Reaching only with the hands instead of using the obliques. Move the feet a bit further away to make you reach.
  • Moving too fast and losing control side to side.
